Father Keith B. Kenny scholars grades -- kindergarten through sixth -- participate in a lesson of giving each holiday season.

Prior to the winter break, each class holds a raffle for a food basket. The class food basket is raffled off to a student in the class. In every class:

• students are asked to bring one can good to contribute to the class food basket;
• the classroom teacher adds fresh produce;
• the men of Alpha Phi Alpha provide a turkey per classroom to complete the basket.

This is a generous lesson in giving to others.
